DateWell Founder

I founded DateWell because I felt a sense of urgency to help singles see success in their dating. Too many singles are struggling, despite putting in so much time, effort, and money. There have been all kinds of initiatives to deal with the “singles crisis,” but little has been done to address the primary issue: people are getting stuck.

To overcome this, we need to equip singles (and all others involved) with the necessary insight and awareness. I, like you, am passionate about helping singles succeed.

A thought leader in the dating space

DateWell developed innovative ideas and creative tools, applying valid psychological concepts to the unique conditions of shidduch dating. Through working with clients and extensive research, DateWell has created a comprehensive methodology that opens new possibilities for dating success.
Here are some examples:

“Internal Barriers”

Many dating challenges stem from a person’s internal barriers. Rather than focusing on external factors, we identify what is getting in the way, and generate self-awareness strategies to overcome such hurdles.

“The Twenty Percent”

Not all individuals experience dating the same. Indeed, one in five people will endure some degree of turbulence during dating. Our methodology incorporates this diversity, and provides the necessary tools and insights for each person to succeed.

“Player Syndrome”

A small percentage of people turn dating into a game, as they feel uncomfortable with commitment. We decode the “forever maybe” behavior and offer guidance for those affected by this behavior pattern.

“Rollercoaster Syndrome”

We explain why some people experience abrupt disappointment in their dating, and we provide coping mechanisms for the emotional swings during dating.

Our Mission

Our mission at DateWell is to simplify the journey to marriage by providing valuable guidance and support for singles and their networks.

We recognize the unfortunate reality that many people struggle on their path to marriage; there are too many people who are experiencing years of frustration with dating. Yet meaningful guidance for navigating the dating process is hard to come by. In particular, people desperately lack credible input for dealing with challenges and difficulties in relation to dating.

DateWell works to make that journey smoother, by providing real answers that help them finally achieve the dating success they’ve been searching for. Through our website, courses, events, and individual coaching, we provide comprehensive resources to help singles and support networks (parents, shadchanim, coaches, mentors) access valuable knowledge and insight.

Shidduchim

Shidduchim operate within an ecosystem, involving parents, shadchanim, rabbanim, dating sites, therapists, and others. All can play a role in a shidduch. DateWell’s mission is to help all those supporting singles and their networks to gain the fullest understanding of the issues and how to address them.

We are privileged to have been able to help thousands of people gain clarity and achieve success. Let’s work together to help singles date well and achieve their highest happiness.

Our Values

Our content is based on clear principles, which guide our approach to all dating matters:

Those providing guidance & support to singles should not be operating on the basis that things are obvious. Many, perhaps most, singles would benefit greatly by having important information about dating pointed out to them. It is hard to see the basis for assuming that people dating have it all figured out.

Problems should not be ignored, with the expectation that they will simply sort themselves out. If someone is consistently not getting a positive result, it is necessary to ask why and to look for ways to change the outcome. Often, with the requisite clarity, the situation can be dramatically improved.

While it is absolutely the decision of the individual as to what their priorities should be, we encourage people to make their choices based on what actually works and is most likely to lead to a successful and happy outcome.

Our communities and those involved in shidduchim need to be open about the issues around dating, so that people aren’t left struggling on their own. There is a range of delicate issues, such as mental illness, that is often avoided, leaving those facing them with insufficient guidance to handle those issues.

It is legitimate for there to be more than one approach to any given problem, and we welcome more than one opinion – even on this site. However, it is important that dating advice is credible and based on a thorough understanding of the particular issues.

Dating should be pursued with a clear sense of purpose. People should not be dating to discover themselves. Rather, one begins dating because one has figured out what they are looking for in life and in a life-partner.

People are making themselves highly vulnerable during dating, and it is therefore necessary for all parties involved in the process to act with great sensitivity. The highest standards of courtesy and dignity are demanded of everyone, especially the individuals actually dating.
